Mwambu - Video DVD

Afrobeat is the energetic, funk-fuelled, drum-led sound that exploded in the ‘70s and refuses to go away. Initially created by Fela Kuti and his Africa 70 band, the sound owes much to funk and soul and in particular James Brown’s prolific early ‘70s funky workouts with The J.B.’s.

Mwambu presents Singing Mountain with a touch of Afrobeat, chakacha, salsa, reggae and then some. Mwambu prides himself with rich East African Musical Heritage, walking in the footsteps of some of East Africa's greats. The likes of Fundi Konde, Fathili Williams, Daudi kabaka. Singing Mountain is but a taste of Mwambu's Musical journey.
